Y E S
In 2020 I wanted a creative outlet to keep my brain busy so I started crafting a pin that pro-housing people could wear to show their support for building more homes as well as using transit + biking + walking instead of driving.
In May 2020 Berkeley lost a fierce transit advocate named Courtney Brousseau. I did not know Courtney well but I know that he supported building homes at North Berkeley BART and showed up at every opportunity. I didn't know what to do with my grief so I consulted with a good friend of Courtney's and added a little tribute to him in these graphics. The pineapple on the BART train and the person biking with a pineapple in their basket are my ways of carrying his memory with me and everyone who wears this pin.
Enamel Pins
These are not available for sale, I tend to give them out to pro-housing electeds and activists I have met in real life. If you would really like to purchase one (or several), get in touch.
Spinoffs & Remixes
I had a big blank wall in my house so I expanded on the enamel pin graphic (A LOT) and made a tapestry. I also remixed that to promote a pro-housing virtual gathering in 2021.
Coloring Page
As with Radical Bike Lobby, I made something related for the kiddos. (download your own here)
